THURSDAY’S KEYNOTE SESSION August 9, 2007
This keynote address will reframe disability services using the power of social capital and the way we think about community. Reframing forces us to challenge our assumptions and reinterpret everyday events. Social capital refers to the networks of trust and mutual support that we have in the community. Reframing disability services through the lens of social capital gives case management new energy and social purpose. QMRPS become community connectors who increase the social capital for all people – people with disabilities, their families and friends, direct support professionals, and members of the community. |
